This week I only acquired one book, but it was signed and I met the author when I bought it!

Stars Above by Marissa Meyer
I was so excited when I learned Meyer was writing a final collection of stories for the Lunar Chronicles, but finding out I would get a second chance to see her in person was the icing on the cupcake! I tried to see her last February but missed the deadline to buy a ticket. Fortunately, this year it was held at a library so it was free to get in.
I will have a full post about meeting Meyer going up tomorrow, but in the meantime, I can't wait to get started on Stars Above!

Congratulations on getting to see Marissa Meyer! Author events are so much fun. I need to do more of that. i hope you enjoy your books.
ReplyDeleteI love them! Not only do they feature meet and greets and swag, I always meet others who are just as excited by the books and its characters like I am. Last night I spent about 10 minutes talking with another young woman about why Jacin was so believable and interesting despite his cold and stoic nature. It was bliss.
